This year ModestMakovers was chosen to decorate the premier home for the 2021 Amelia Island, Florida Holiday Home Tour. Welcome to the COZY COASTAL Christmas home. This year we decided to not use classic Christmas colors of red, green and gold. Instead we used rich teals, sea foam green, crisp navy and antique silver with a hint of Bordeaux red. We also incorporated drift wood, pine cones, eucalyptus and holly.We created a home that replicated the feeling of Christmas morning. When we grew up their was always sweet smells of cookies and cakes coming from the kitchen and the scurry of wrapping the last gifts to put under the tree. We wanted to pay homage to the historic integrity of this 1800's vernacular home, that has been restored by owners Jeff and Lynn.

For this Spring table, we selected a wreath with flowers and eggs in pastel shades complimenting the pale pink cake plate, a nod to traditional Easter colors. The fluorescent pink stemware is the final touch that illuminates any dinner table.

For this breakfast table, we paid homage to Easter eggs, dyeing them in jewel tone shades which adorns this handmade basket. We added rich fuchsia peonies to partner with beautiful shades of pink on the eggs.

We continued this table with bunches of bouquets on the table in bright colors to enhance the beautiful floral plates. Use of stemware to hold something other than a beverage, makes the table look even more formal.
